Online PR sponsorship application? Do you have your travel history or is it missing?

Online PR sponsorship application? Do you have your travel history or is it missing?
Thank you Sir, it is the one I am missing. Just finished working on it.

One other question, who should be writing the letter of explanation? Me (the sponsor) or my wife (the principal applicant)?

Thank you.

What are you needing to explain?

For example, if it's the principle applicants (your wife's) travel history, then it will need to be written / signed by her.

Why I put down a guesstimate of when I got my citizenship, why we are not living together...
This is a bit of an overkill. But you sign the part about citizenship, and both of you sign the why you are not living together part.

Sigh...guess you are right...our case is weak and the chance of getting approved is slim?

Sorry I did not mean that your chances are weak. I do not know the details of your situation to give a clear opinion. If you have concerns about your application it's better if you present the facts first.

If your application is outland it is normal that you are not living together since one of you is in Canada and the other one isn't. Are you including that letter for more serious reasons of why you are not living together? (separation, etc.)

We both are living in Taiwan, but in two different cities, about an hour apart in biking. She had been renting a suite before we met online and started dating. Her place is close to where she works and only big enough for one person. For me, I want to return to Canada to settle down first so we can have a smooth transition in life when her status is approved. It will not be financially smart for us to find a place big enough for both of us now, then I leave for Canada and she pays for a rent for a two people place. Also, the local government is cracking down on housing speculation, if a purchased place is bought and sold within 2 years, it's subject to a hefty 45% speculation tax. So, it is not wise for us to buy a place now either...

I do have some shared expenses document in Chinese uploaded to the portal to prove our relationship is genuine, such as bride pastry, wedding photoshoots and honeymoon hotel and plane tickets...

Also, the marriage certificate and dinner photos with each other's family members...oh well, I just ran out of patience and submitted without further reviewing...

:(

If you have already submitted then there's not much you can do until you hear back from IRCC with your acknowledgement of receipt. At that point you can send a webform with additional information.

Your situation is not that usual, the norm is that married people live together. Granted things and circumstances can be different for people, so if you submitted enough convincing proof and strong explanation things might be fine. Evidence like showing concrete plans that you are moving back to Canada alone soon, that you relationship is genuine, and there are real barriers to living together. (I think financial reasons for not living together is weak)

Have you never lived together at all in the past? Did you go on a honeymoon? How long was your relationship before getting married? Is your situation normal in your culture?

You have to think long and hard between now and getting AOR (3 months or so) about the quality of the evidence you provided, and if you need to add things then prepare them to be sent as soon as you get AOR.

Well, she stays with me on weekends. I visit her couple times a week. We had a honeymoon, and submitted the booking and airplane tickets in Chinese as proof. We dated for 16 months. I wont say our situation is common but it's heard of here and there. oh well, i will just sue IRCC after China invades Taiwan as I've told them my case is genuine for leaving me and my wife here. :)

Haha, I hope things don't reach that level. It sounds like you have a good case, l believe you will be alright if you talked about these details and included evidence for them. If for any reason IRCC needs additional documents they do ask for them later.
