Hi Experts - I urgently need to complete my application and submit in next 1 week. I have following question :-

1. Even though my spouse is employed and holds bachelor's degree, I am not going to claim any points for that. Do I still need to put that information in OINP form ?

2. How have others dealt with such situations ?

Please help.

Thanks, Prashant

its best that you send the degree certificate along with mark-sheets.

Hi, there's no harm in not claiming any points by not inputting your spouse's education details.

The only trouble may come if you have done a reference letter for your spouse based on an NOC. Remember some NOC's specifically state that to perform some job functions you need to have knowledge about certain things acquired from an education course such as a completed Bachelor's degree.

If you have stated that your spouse is working (or intends to work) in a certain field that requires a degree and you haven't input that degree they may have doubts about how your spouse will perform the job functions, and your PNP may not be given due to these doubts.

Thanks !

I don't have IELTS and WES evaluation for my wife. Moreover, I have enough point and my wife does not intend to work for next few months after arriving in Canada and just want to be in Canada as my spouse. Should I still enter that information ?

I will provide whatever was included in my EE profile and specially what got me CRS points. In my case my wife's ECAs, and no work experience.
