My Case:
I came to Canada on study permit in May 2016. I just completed my masters in Canada and my study permit will ends on November 30 2017

My Wife case:
My wife got dependent open work permit directly(no visiting visa later applying for open work permit) in November 2016 and she came to Canada in January 2017 and later she got full time job in her relevant field from April 2017. Her Open work permit ends on November 30 2017 (Same as my Study permit end date).

Question:
Now I completed my masters and planning to file post graduation work permit ( I will get 3 years work permit based on my duration of study), but I don't have any job offer in hand right now.

While filing post graduation work permit(pgwp) application through online ,I am able to see that there are fields to file family member > work extension. Can I fill these fields and do work permit extension to my wife (which she can get 3 years same as like me) also along with my pgwp?. Please suggest?

You cannot extend her work permit until you have a full time job that is NOC A, B or 0. Additionally, you must have already started that job and be able to provide a few pay slips as evidence.

So at this time - you cannot extend your wife's work permit.

If you are unable to secure a job that meets the requirements by the time her work permit is expiring, she will need to apply to change her status to visitor and stop working as soon as her current work permit expires. Once you have a job that meets the requirements, you can then apply for a new OWP for her.
