Hi guys, I am planning to send the Indian PCC application package today, before the Ontario lockdown hits.

Question: Did you guys send your current and/or old Indian passport original or just copies? Is Indian PCC a stamp in the passport or is it a separate document.

The process seems to have become complicated, compared to when I applied in 2015 and it was a 45 min process.

The process takes 6-8 weeks now. I am eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship Jan mid. However, this PCC processing might delay my application by a month or more :(

1. Since you already received pcc earlier, its the same way now too(stamp on passport and the pcc document). Its easier here as its headache to apply from officers in India(especially if the passport was issued from out of state/country as they need to re-initiate police verification).
2. cic expects the pcc should have been issued within 6 months of application received date hence you would have applied few months ago, not sure why you waited. i doubt it takes this long hence send it soon.
Are they not accepting walkin nowadays?

@harirajmohan Thank you.

1) I applied for PP renewal in 2014 and PCC in 2015 both in Chicago Indian consulate. Got my PCC in 45 mins in Chicago. I am using the same North American issued PP now.
2) Yeah I should have taken action before. Will do for sure as you said.

No walk-ins since we are going through an ON province wide lockdown effective tomorrow. I just got all the paperwork done at staples yesterday afternoon, so that it does not get delayed another 28 days.
