I'm not pure if your husband can act as a cosigner yet if u is not a permanent resident. Even if he can, you need to be able to show 3 years of meeting the financial minimum (not only currently). Has your husband been in Canada for 3 years working?

Senior members can give more expert advice. I wouldn't worry about it affecting his application, however, if not working in Canada for three years he definitely can't cosign. And if he isn't a PR, I don't know if he would qualify as a cosigner.

It sounds like you're applying for a tourist visa for your mother, rather than sponsoring her. I don't think that him including his documents would have any negative effect on his application.
