I received my ITA on OCT 19th 2016. I have made a grave mistake and I am unsure as how to proceed. I appreciate your Urgent assistance.

I have done my Bachelors and Masters from India. (B.C.A and M.C.A)

Under Study and Languages > Education History > When there was a question on Was Dhaval Desai Awarded a Canadian Degree, Diploma, or Certificate for this period of Study ?

I selected Yes instead of No.

Now I am worried that I won't get an ITA again and my file would be marked as misrepresentation in case I decide to go ahead with the file.

Please tell me what should I do ?

Thank you,
Dhaval Desai.

Did you get your credentials assessed?

If so, make the change and write a LOE regarding the fact that you made a mistake but corrected it during the ITA phase.

Your CRS does not change so it is not a big deal.

Cheers and +1 me bro ;)

Edit: Nvm my post, it seems you've already submitted your application?

Thanks mate. I calculated my FSW it comes to 70/100 without considering Candian degree points. SO I guess I should be good. What do you think ? and +1 for you. Glad to get an answer.

I reckon you should be good since you have 70 points and this mistake doesn't affect your CRS score.

Cheers ;)

You can always decline ITA and change in your profile and wait to get ITA again. or another option, create a new account with a new profile and wait for ITA on that before submitting application on your first profile. Also I suggest to wait for nomination as with nomination, the process would be much faster.

Hi,

I have received ITA on January 25th 2017 draw. I found that my spouse' (secondary applicant) experience in one of the companies is mentioned as "July 2014 till November 2014" (incorrect), instead of "August 2014 till November 2014" (correct). This is because, she received a joining letter on 27th July, but joined the organization on 4th August.

While this does not affect the CRS score, I am afraid whether it will be construed as misreprentation.

I am in dilemma whether a simple LoE would suffice for rectification, or I need to decline ITA @462.

Move the work experience to personal history in eapr as this is not giving you any points and explain in LOE

Thanks for the suggestion. Feeling quite relieved :)

I guess even reference letters are not required for spouse (as the work experience is outside canada, and not considered for assessment). I referred to the CIC website for proof of experience, which states

"Individuals who must submit this documentation

  • The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner (if work experience in Canada is claimed)
"
