I have applied for PR card Renewal. Now I am moving. When I try to change the address using CIC, it says they have not started processing the application, so I cannot change the address. I has been 2 weeks that they have received my application. But for PR renewal I think they will open my application and process within 1-2 days. So I will never get chance to change my address as I will never get into the system.
Morever, CIC website says processing time for PR card is 96 days and if you dont get card within 96 days contact us. That means they open the application and process the card in 1-2 days and send it to mailing address on file, that means I will never get chance to change my address (as I will never get into system).
I have availed the mail forwarding service of Canada post in past and I still had lapses. I am afraid that if someone get my PR card they can misuse it (identity theft).
Please advise. Urgent help will be appreciated
