Hi,
I made a soft landing a couple of months and the PR card was supposed to be sent to my friend's place.
Unfortunately, my friend's roommate unknowingly returned the PR card back to sender last week, even though friend had informed that person before.

I am not in Canada, don't know what can I do.

I have been trying to call CIC and every time I do, they experience high number of calls and my call is not transferred to an agent.

Pls let me know what can I do now.
I don't want to loose my Permanent residence after coming all the way till here :'(

Well, you have to keep trying until you reach someone, right.
You are responsible for this issue and you have to reach out to solve it!
Maybe, you can use your mycic account.
I don't think you will get any response from that though!
Keep calling, keep calling!
They do answer their phones, thousands of people get through every day!

You will not lose your status as a permanent resident because of a returned PR card, so stop worrying about that. This is just an administrative issue, not an immigration status issue.

You may have to reapply for it, and it's probably going to take a few months to get it, but that's all that will happen. Call or email CIC and ask.

Since you've landed, you already are a PR, and you have rights. If you need to come back to Canada before you get your card, you can apply for a PRTD - you will get one easily.
