Hi all,

I am from Pakistan and have recently been issued ITA for PR. I am encountering a problem relating to my father's name discrepancy in different documents.
Firstly, there is a mismatch in spelling of my father's name mentioned in my passport (VIJEY KUMAR) and educational records (VIJAY KUMAR).

Second problem is that my father has recently added surname to his first name in all of his documents e.g. NIC and Passport. This surname was not there previously and consequently all of my documents i.e. passport and educational record does not contain this. His new Full name has become VIJAY KUMAR DAS.

Father's Name in My Passport: VIJEY KUMAR
Father's Name in all Educational record: VIJAY KUMAR
New FullName of father: VIJAY KUMAR DAS

Kindly Advise as how to should I go about resolving this issue. I cannot change my educational records as it would not be possible easily in Pakistan. Even I cant change the passport since my IELTS results are tagged to this.

I need to prepare two new documents i.e. Birth Certificate in English and Police Clearance Certificate. I can get his new full name on these two newly prepared documents and explain this name discrepancy in statement of explanation along with the "same name affidavit"

Would this work or should I try something else? Would request seniors to please help as I do not want to lose the PR chance because of this issue.

thanks for the reply.

Would this letter of explanation and affidavit be sufficient or should I also attach my fathers new ID documents like passport.

Also, would be grateful if any senior can provide a sample format of the affidavit on this forum.

Hello! I'm in the same situation. Did you face any problem? Was there any follow up questions raised by IRCC while PR application?
