Urgent Help Please!! Do the canadian embassy contact your place of work?

Hello Sir/Ma,

Please i recently applied for a study permit and i included my current place of work details. However i only just resumed and i have not yet been verified as a full staff. Please i would like to know if the Canadian embassy places a call to your office discussing your intent in a bid to verify your claim you work there.

For a study permit where work or employment is not necessarily a requirement versus purpose of coming to Canada probably less chance than if you were applying for PR.
