urgent help needed spouse work permit

Hello friends,
I need your urgent help as my wife's work permit application has been refused on the grounds of finance.
I am on post grad work permit in canada, so i applied for the work permit of my wife 2 weeks back.
Surprisingly they did not ask me for any financial documents in the checklist so i didn't submit my bank statements or anything.
today i got the mail that it has been refused on the fianancial grounds.
Could you please help me to figure out what went wrong? Did i miss something? I filled out 3 forms (imm1295, imm5257, imm5707) when I applied.
Did I miss to provide bank statement details even if it was not on the list of documents required?

Hi bud,

Am sorry to hear that your spouse's application got refused.

one of my friend applied for the same and he submitted these documents from his (Canada) side.

1) Invitation Letter - signed by you inviting your spouse to stay with you.
2) A letter stating that you will financially take care of her and documents to prove that (example: Your 6 months bank statements having enough liquid cash flow, a letter confirming your employment in Canada, pay slips, your job offer letter, Notice of Assessments for the last 2 years, etc...)
3) *VERY IMPORTANT* - If you work in NOC-A/B level job, then a letter from your employer stating your job duties and responsibilities which will prove that you work in NOC A/B job.
4) A copy of your valid work permit along with a valid visa.
5) A copy of your passport biodata pages
6) A copy of your marriage certificate
7) Few photographs of your marriage ceremony following the rituals, honeymoon pictures, etc which will prove that your marriage is legitimate.
8) A copy of your degree from Canada (if available)

Your spouse can create CIC account and upload the below documents and pay the required application fee for Open work permit.


>Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker (IMM5710E)
>Copy of Passport
>Marriage Certificate
>Proof of medical exam
>Family Member Proof of Status - Your PR or Work permit whichever is valid
>Digital Photo
