Urgent help needed on Visitor's visa

Hello all,

I am currently waiting for my permanent resident visa, which I hope to obtain in the next 3-4 months. I currently live in India and not employed at the moment, I am considering going to Canada on a tourist visa while I am waiting for the PR visa, as my husband resides there (he's a Permanent resident)

So my questions to this forum is:
- is it possible/allowed to enter Canada on a tourist visa while waiting for the PR visa? As I'm not employed, will it affect if i show my husband's and my father's documents as supporting documents ?

I have not found much information about this, either official or via this forum, so I would greatly appreciate your help.

Yes - you can certainly apply for a TRV. However since it sounds like you can't show strong ties to your home country and also have a PR application in progress, there's unfortunately a very good change the TRV will be refused. However you can certainly try. Good luck.
