Does anyone know if applying for a U.S. green card during your first year after landing as a Canadian PR would have any affect on renewing the PR in future, given one meets the R.O., if the outcome of the green card application is the following:
1. Approved but never moved to U.S. or moved to U.S. briefly but returned and gave up U.S. green card.
2. U.S. green card denied.
Does intent to reside in Canada affect PR card renewal? Is that a factor in PR card renewal if I'll be living in Canada, for quite some time at the time of PR card renewal application?
Also, if U.S. green card is denied due to consular officer not trusting that the marriage is genuine can it affect my spouse and my (I am FSW class primary applicant and she was the dependent) Canadian PR? I have already had to prove bonafide marriage to IRCC, and satisfied them before obtaining PR. It's the U.S. consular officer I am not sure about, since we are an interracial couple and I might very well be interviewed by a racist officer.
Thanks in advance!
