Urgent help needed for pgwp

Hi, so timeline is as follows
Dec 13 graduated.
31st March 2020 study permit expired.
Missed applying for pgwp
Talked to a lawyer for restoration. He told that we gotta file restoration along with study permit extension as my graduation Completion letter is dated on April 8th.
Is it the correct process? I don't want to risk because of some wrong understanding.
Please help. Kind of in a tough spot.
Rest of it I wasn't working or attending any other school since I graduated in December so I didn't break any rule as such

Ya I went through it, so according to it I need to apply for restoration+ study permit + pgwp right?

Yes restoration to student/study permit. You need a letter explaining what you are doing.
