urgent help needed. chc requested passport and it is expiring.

Helli all,

Please advise me. My husband's passport is expiring in sept 2015. He did his remedical in March 2015. Chc just requested his passport. Now the question is should my husband renew his passport and then resubmit? If he does renew before submitting, would that cause any implications as they have his old passport on file? Would that cause any further delays? If he doean't renew, would that cause any problems as expiry is in just 4 months. Kindly advise asap.

The visa will only be valid until the end of the passport. It's your choice between waiting (why did you not renew it sooner?!) for a new one or taking a shorter visa length.

hey, i'm not sure i'll be of help but i can tell you what they wrote in my passport request e-mail:

Passport needs to have a validity of minimum 12 months

(so in this case your husband's passport isn't "good" anymore and he needs to renew it)

however, it can be different for other VO's so i'm not sure.
