There was a similiar thread posted today and if you opted for doorstep delivery of your passport, then they were not able to locate your address and returned it to your closest VFS(this answer was given by one of the forum members)
I hope that wasn't your thread only.lol :D
Quite surprising to see similiar cases in a day.
