Urgent!!! have you used another name before?

Hello,

While applying for my visa, I came across the above question. My name (Just the spelling) was changed almost 7 years ago. However, the documents with which I am applying for my visa right now all have the new updated name including my passport, college docs etc. What answer should I give to this question? Is it okay if I select No as that would reduce the hassle of collecting further docs

I don't think you need to prove anything, just select "yes" and type in the old spelling.

I think they ask this in case you have any records anywhere with ur old name, so they are not missed. You should say yes, write down your previous name and thats it.
