URGENT - Getting a Ontario Drivers License

Hey thanks for the info, but the detailed abstract I received has License Term written as 4 but they are not accepting that also I have both the OLD and New licenses still, Is it possible for u to mail me a copy of the exact thing what they want, so that I can send NJ dmv a copy of it and ask them to get me the same thing, Please it wud be of a great help.

The one that I obtained from PA I submitted at the DMV.Its actually a letter mentioning like when you originally got the license and for how long you actually had it.USA license are valid for transfer upto 12 months after expiration.My Pennsylvania license expired in August but I transferred it to Ontario in oct.so if u r worried abt license expiration then no worries u will still have 12 months time.

Is it possible anyone who got the license exchanged from NJ to Ontario, to send me a sample copy of the letter, bcus I again received the same letter which i had obtained earlier even though i mentioned NJ guys that I need the letter with issue date.

Hi Nitin,
I am facing a similar situation with NJ drivers abstract. Please let me know as to how you have been able to obtain the letter from the New Jersey DMV and I will follow the same procedure.

I got the papers from NJ DMV by sending a detailed Letter stating I need a document which shows my Initial Date of Driving License Issued with below application & a $15 Check, after couple of days they sent me the document which I submitted to DMV here in Ontario and they gave me the Ontario License.

I am about to land in Canada. I also have a NJ driver's license. I have sent for an abstract, but did not know about the complication you have faced until reading this thread.

Could you please clarify for me (1) What is an "abstract using a microchip"? (2) What specifically did you ask for when you mailed for the abstract?

This will be my third attemp due to previous trouble with the NJ-DMV, so I'd like to make sure I get it right this time!
