Urgent! Does GT or ACAD really matters?

Hi everyone! Good day! This may be long since but please bear with me since I need to get accurate answers.

Mu husband being the principal took his IELTS under GT last January 29, 2015 with a OBS of 6.5 (6-6.5-6.5-6)... Last week we received his ECA Report with the evaluation of SECONDARY SCHOOL. He graduated in a two year course as a COMPUTER SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN. I am also done taking my IELTS but under ACAD and got a result of OBS 6.5 (7-6.0-6.5-7). Here are my questions:

1. Is he still elligible to apply under express entry with his ECA result as Secondary school?
2. Is my Acad IELTS result okay? Will it matter? Because what I know is that the principal should take ielts in GT module. But it was not stated clearly that the wife should also take IELTS-GT. Maybe perhaps my ACAD result is already okay since I am not the principal.

1. He can apply - but he won't be able to claim any post-secondary education points.
2. Academic IELTS results aren't accepted for immigration purposes. So you won't be able to claim any language points under EE as the principal applicant's spouse. Only your husband will get points for his language score.
