Hi guys, my wife's Visitor Visa /record thing is running out this weekend (Aug 9th) but she's leaving to the USA to visit family 2 days after (Aug 11). Should she still renew her visitor visa? It seems silly to me to pay and do the whole application again if she's gonna be gone 2 days later and try to re enter Canada at a later date.
But I'd also rather avoid any unnecessary complications
or them getting her on the return on a technicality that she overstayed by 2 days.... I assume they're like robots and there's no grey area with them.
Any advice would be most helpful! I also read somewhere that her visitor status expires as soon as she leaves the country, so we'd basically be renewing -> waiting -> I receive confirmation she's approved -> it's immediately expired and useless
Thanks!
Additional info: We're applying outland regardless. And I'm aware that Canada customs can refuse her re-entry should they be so inclined for any reason.
