Hi all
Hope u all r doing well. Its me again Haha.
Alright so I applied for my Cec PR in Feb.. got my aor in March and then applied for my bowp in April
(Note that I am unemployed since last September and on a bound work permit). So applying for bowp was just to take a chance.
Anyways I received an electronic notification from CIC just now saying.
"Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has been sent to you. If you do not get this secure document in 6 weeks then pls contact CIC.

This letter is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to remain in Canada. "

So I'm confused now. What does this mean. Has my bowp been approved or what?
Anyone who got this message in the past...pls enlighten me.. its a beautiful weekend and I'm almost ready to be rejected.
Helppppp

Thanks

Hi.. Your BOWP application must have been approved. The "letter" that CIC refers to is its actual email letter/notice sent to you informing you of its approval for your BOWP application (you can't use this as an official document that allows you to remain in Canada), and not the actual/physical open work permit which you are yet to receive within 6 weeks. Just my thoughts. ;)
