Hello Dear,

Greetings !!! :)

This is Deepinder Singh an Indian Citizen, have joined this immigration forum just today. Need special advice from all who can contribute towards guiding me of how i can set my foot right in Canada ASAP.

1. I am a Post Graduate in Business management (full time) with 3.6 yrs of full time and .11 yrs of freelancing experience.

2. I have worked in Major Indian telco (marketing and revenue enhancement, customer intelligence, business analytic and Retail channel development, BTL marketing, and 3rd parties under the middle level managerial class.

Pls let me know how can i work out regarding presenting my case under Federal Skilled Worker class.

Moreover i would like to ask that if i hire some accredited/recognized Canadian immigration consultants or an Indian consultant for this matter how can i check there authenticity.

A) Should i go in for an Indian Immigration consultants ?? if yes then pls suggest some reliable names.

B) Shall i take help from a Canadian immigration expert ?? if yes then pls suggest some names.

Do let know about the cost factor too in both the A & B cases.

Regards
Deepinder Singh :)

CIC website explains how to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. The respective guide for your country is an excellent tool to prepare the application. As you are well educated, I don't think you need any immigration consultant for this purpose. In fact, even if you hire a lawyer or consultant, you are the person to do almost all the work for gathering necessary documents and preparing the application.

In addition this forum is very helpful when ever you have any query and need assistance.

Dear Cee 12345,

Thanks to you too but if you can elaborate what i need to "consider" in my case will go through the URL mentioned and will get back to you if needed.

Thanks for your time and efforts

Regards

Dear Mr Wilson,

I had gone through the the URL u had mentioned and it leads to several sub URL's and that is a bit confusing as many terms are not understood if one does not open the sub/leading URL's.

So request you to tell me if my credentials are suitable for a FSW visa.

Regards
Deepinder S

Dear Cee 12345,

Have Gone through the URL you have mentioned and i found it informative but what i would request you is that seeing my credentials wanna know if i qualify for an FSW visa

following is what i had found out from the URL. Pls also let know whether my job does fall under NOC (kill type 0 (managerial occupations) or skill level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) list.
(The NOC is a system for classifying jobs in Canada.)

Basic eligibility

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
be an international student enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet certain criteria.
Note: As of July 1, 2012, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has temporarily stopped accepting applications for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). This temporary pause does not apply to those with a qualifying job offer or applying under the PhD stream. We will likely start accepting applications again when the revised FSWP selection criteria take effect. Proposed FSWP changes should come into force in 2013.
Work experience minimum requirements

If your application is eligible for processing, it will then be assessed against minimum requirements.
Your work experience must be:

at least one year, continuous, and paid (full-time or the equivalent in part-time); AND
a skill type 0 (managerial occupations) or skill level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) list.
(The NOC is a system for classifying jobs in Canada.)
