Urgent! Can I apply for an ETA at the airport?

I travelled to Canada in May 2015 so had no idea about the new ETA. Am travelling in 7 hours from Dublin to Toronto so the online application won't accept an application on the day of travel. Can I apply from the airport? ??? ???

ETA is only available through the online application, no facility at the airport. It is likely you will not be able to checkin for your flight.

Did you try online OP? I heard of a few instances it's approved in an hour or two.
