Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hey folks

My spouse applied and we got PR this year, one month after she filed for divorce, it appears it was her intent. She is preganant for another person and it appears she wants to make the baby in canada.

Can someone please advise me what can happen now?

Can I lose my PR?

Can I report her to immigration.

Please advise.

HB

Was she the primary applicant in the PR application?

Once u have pr u both are separate individuals...

Yes but she would have mislead Canadian Immigration.

Did she get points for her profile from you? If so, you can report her to IRCC. They may do nothing about it. Or they may decide to do something about it. Impossible to say. If they decide to take action and she loses her PR status, you can expect to lose your PR status as well.

Best option is to do nothing and move on with your life.

Where is the best place to inform the IRCC?

Thank you kindly. I think she might try and take my son away and move away. Thats my other concern.

Filing a complaint with IRCC won't stop that. You have to go through the family court system to ensure you have joint custody.

Filing a complaint with IRCC will result in one of two outsomes. Either nothing. Or both of you will end up with your PR status being revoked and potentially a misrepresentation ban at which point remaining in Canada or returning to Canada won't be possible and obtaining a visa to other countries will become a lot more difficult. Think carefully before you file the complaint.
