Hi All,

Here are my details:
Application recieved: 26th July, 2014
AOR received: 03rd October, 2014
Category: CEC

My Case:
My application is still in process. I might have to travel outside Canada in March as my project is over with my current employer. I cannot switch jobs as I am on closed WP. I do not expect to get my MR till then March.

I have the below of questions
1. Is there any impact on the processing complication due to my movement outside Canada.
2. Would it be wise to do MR upfront in order to minimise the impact.
3. I have a valid WP till next year. But, is there a way I can stay in Canada or apply for an Open work permit.
4. Can I leave my job and stay here even on Closed WP till my PR gets processed. If yes, is there any impact of not having a job on my PR application.

Please help me understand what are the steps I can take from now till march in order to stay here or minimize the effect on the PR process.

Thanks a lot!

Don't worry, it wont affect your PR process. As soon as you reach your origin, you first need to update Visa office with New communication address with contact information details.
I would recommend you to do medicals at your place instead of Canada. In case any further medicals required by panel physician at later stage, it might be difficult if you do medicals in Canada.
You are eligible to apply BOWP within 4 months of your current WP expiry only.
As you are in Closed WP, after resign I don't think so your WP will be valid to stay at Canada - I am not sure about this.. wait for further answers..

Good Luck..

Hi,
I agree with nov_2014 and would add that even if you leave the job your WP will still be valid so you can stay in Canada.
