I received an ITA and for some documents like degree certificates and proof of funding, seems like I will have to upload multiple documents. Looks like the website doesn't allow uploading multiple documents, when I try to upload another document, it replaces first one.
Are you combining all the documents in MS Word and then uploading that? I tried that option as well but since the file size would become huge, the document doesn't get uploaded even after hours.
Also where in US did you get your digital photo done? I went to Walgreens and they had a hard time understanding Canada's photo dimension.
Scan all the documents
in color with high resolution, set your scanner at
300 dpi at least. You must upload the documents as a single PDF which
must not be more than 4mb size. For example, for education placeholder you need to convert the scan of certificates, transcripts, eca and ielts into PDF and then merge all the PDFs together to create a single PDF file. You can use available online tool such as small pdf, ilove pdf etc. Once you create the merged single pdf, you can use the same online tool to compress it. Alternatively you can copy all the scan images and pest them in a Microsoft word document, then publish as PDF. If you don't have option to save your documents as pdf then you can download this extension from Microsoft official source, just google it. If the pdf document is larger than 4mb size then you have compress it.
There is another simple and effective way to do this offline. Follow these steps, your problem will be solved-
1. Scan all the documents at 300 DPI scanner setting and save as JPG/JPEG format.
2. Open a scanned image using Microsoft Office Picture Manager
3. Click "Edit Pictures" at the top panel.
4. Click "Compress Pictures" at the right side panel.
5. Select "Documents" option under "Compress For" heading at the top of the same panel.
6. A new estimated size will be showing at the bottom of the panel, click "OK".
7. Do these same steps for all images.
8. Copy and pest the required images in a Microsoft Word document.
9. Publish the document as PDF file.
Your published pdf document should be well below 4mb size with good visibility.
Your Picture which should be JPG/JPEG format which should not be less than 240kb
