While uploading the work experience documents it says that all the documents should be uploaded as one. May I know how is that done? I tried doing it in Adobe with Create and Combine options but it redirects me to the payment page of the Adobe website.

Thanks

I've scanned the papers of the documents one after the other, making one pdf for each section.

One way to do it..
1) scan all documents as jpgs
2) use irfanview ( it has batch conversion/resize) to reduce the file size by resizing them to 1024x resolution ( you dont need to mention the other dimension as it maintains aspect ratio.
3) install pdf995 software
4) make sure all your documents/ images are named such a way that they are in the right order.
5) select all and right click and print. Select pdf995 as printer. Choose portrait and give a file name. The target file should be less than 4mb for cic uploads.

I am sure there are many other ways.

You can scan all your documents as individual pdfs and can merge the pdfs online at www.pdfmerge.com

Its really easy.

Can we include a index page for each section as we have multiple documents combined into one PDF?

I am planning to do so. Adding a table of contents page clearly mentioning what that PDF contains (Eg: Pages 2-3: roles and resp letter, 4-5: payslips, 6-12 offer letter etc)

Easiest way to combine / merge / split pdfs is to use online tools.. There are plenty of them. I always just go onto google search pdf merge and use whatever link I get first... Like someone else also mentioned, pdfmerge.com seems to be the best so far..

I don't know why but pdfmerge did not work to me. It did not reduce the pdf very much. Perhaps I did something wrong

Well, merge and compress are two different things.. you can use compress option in pdfmerge.com for that.

Just Upload and merge them on pfdmerge.com and then compress on pdfcompress.com if the file size is more than 4 mb

If you can obtain a copy of Adobe Acrobat pro, you can easily merge multiple documents in various formats (like word, jpg, pdf) into a single PDF file. In addition, Adobe Acrobat pro provides a feature of reducing file size.

Am I the only Mac user on here? This function is built into Preview, "Insert from File" or "Insert from Scanner". The file compression is also built in when you choose to export the PDF. Definitely simpler on a Mac, and you won't be compromising your personal data on external sites.

A good scanner driver/app should also have the ability to place multiple pages you scan into a single PDF.
