Upfront medicals - status in eCAS - share your experience

sorry for double posting as i did not get any reply being posted in one thread - where all may not check the thread...

Hi Guys,

I have done upfront medicals and sent the eMedicals notification details and got the acknowledgement that they have added to my file.
Does the medicals received should have been reflected in eCAS? i see that it's still showing application received only. Normally for all those who have completed their medicals, does their eCAS is showing about the medicals status also?

How do i make sure that CIC received the medical results from the doctor and they have added to my file(not the notice of upfront medicals that i sent for which i already got the acknowledgement). Doctor said, they have sent from their side.

Ecas is unpredictable - what others show doesn't mean your status would be the same.

Thry have acknowledged receipt. That is all you need.

i suggest you walk-in to the cpp-ottawa with bags of timbits and large double double coffees for all immigration officers there,then you will be able to pull out your file and check if your medical results have been received(lol inside joke).
look if you have done upfornt medicals and the doctor's office told you that it has been submitted,plus you are so fortunate to get an acknowledgment receipt email from cpp-ottawa then you are totally fine and your medical results are on a safe hands,they will be displayed on E-cas once your application is in process,which is most likely haven't started yet(from your user name im assuming you are a march applicant).you can always order GCMS.i suggest you sit and wait,there are applicants from november waiting for medical request still.
in another word upfront medicals are not uploaded into E-cas before the processing starts.

Can you please tell how did you sent it to CIC. I also did my upfront medicals yesterday. Do we just need to scan the confirmation sheet and email to CIC?

hi SINGHQ0G,

if you did it e-medical the doctor will electronically submit the results,you dont have to send anything.but if you want you can give CIC a hint that you have done upfront medical by scanning and emailing the doctor's receipt to cpp-ottawa but its better to wait until you get a confirmation from the doctor that your medicals was sent in case anything goes a wrong with the result or more tests will be needed.

Got my GCMS today. In the medical section, it has following info
Type: Medical
Status: Sent
IME#: XXXXXXXXX
IME Status: Not Started
Reason for Closure: Recieved in eMed
MOF Rationale Exists: No

Any idea what does these fields mean?
