Hi, Canada in India (their twitter handle) posted that all upfront medical exams have been suspended until further notice with effect from 16 May 2021. I was looking forward to applying under the SDS category student visa which requires upfront medicals. With this tweet and suspension, what should I do? Any suggestions, please?

I am in the process of completing my GIC and payment of first year of tuition fee as well (have IELTS done already). But with this suspension, I don't know what to do? I have an admit from the Western University (London, Ontario) for Sep 2021 intake. Please help!

Then you can apply under the non SDS category and wait for a medical request from IRCC.

Thanks for your reply. If I attach my GIC and proof of tuition fee payment along with my bank statements under non-SDS, will it improve my chances of visa approval?

I wanted to go under SDS category due to its high approval chances.

I can't predict your chances of approval -- but VO might not have any doubts that you can indeed pay for your studies.

Thanks for your reply. I have posted a tweet to IRCC, hoping if they could shed some light on this as well otherwise I'll just proceed with non-SDS.
