Hello everyone,

I applied for an upfront medical examination in Lahore and got an appointment for 20th July. I can however obtain every other document necessary for applying for study permit by 12th July. So my question is this: If I select request for medical examination in my visa application and apply on 12th July, and then give my upfront medical, will I be able to upload its results having requested for the exam separately in my application? Or will my upfront medical be invalid and ill have to go for a medical separately according to my application request?

Do I have to wait till 20th July and give my upfront medical and then apply? Which procedure would be more time efficient and valid?
Time is of the essence as my program only starts in sept and I should apply asap.

The online checklist says "if you cannot get a medical exam before the deadline to sumbit your work permit application, you may sumbit proof that you have scheduled an appointment"
I was wondering if the same could be done for my visa application. I could apply now and upload a snap/screen of my appointment, and send the results later? This would save a lot of my time

Thank You.

You do realize the current processing time for study permit from Pakistan is around 16 weeks right? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

If you apply mid July, you'd get a reply late-October to early-November. You might want to check other threads on applicants waiting who applied from Pakistan and see how long it took them but I think you've applied too late.

Theres nothing I could do about that as I was offered admission in nuly only. I have to apply and try, as tbose times are average. Could take more MIGHT take less. 2 months is ample time for processing a fair ans complete application certainly?
Anyways, you never replied to the question that I have asked.

Go for Upfront.

The reason I'm saying this is because visa processing takes a lot of time especially if you have applied online. I did not go for upfront but waited for request from CIC which was a huge mistake since it ate up a lot of time and I had to defer my session to Fall.

If I had given my upfront medical , I'd not be still waiting for my visa.

Don't worry if your appointment is on 20th July or even late. If your documents are complete and there is no problem with your application , you might be able to get your visa by late Sept with upfront medical.

Thank you bro for your advice and for giving me hope. Just to make sure, you're saying I should apply on 20th after giving my upfront?

I was wondering if the same could be done for student visas as it would save around 8 days. I could apply early and send my upfront results later. In the mean time I could upload a snapshot of my appointment while I apply?

Also what do you mean by specially online? Is the paper based application quicker?

just sacrifice 8 days now. does that matter for now? just keep it simple and apply after doing medical.

I second his canadalhr's opinion.

Thank you for your responses. I just feel that with time already against me, I should save the extra 10 odd days if possible by any means.

Has anyone tried uploading a question instead of the document in the document checklist page? The CIC website says that is how they respond to queries..can anyone testify to this?
