Hello, guys!

Just booked an appointment at the physician for the upfront med exam. As I underwent the medical exam in 2012 for a work permit, she asked me if I have a special number (starting with IMM.. or something). How do I get this number? Do I email CIC? Or a visa office I applied through last time?

Thank you so much for your help!
:)

UCI stands for “unique client identifier.” It is also known as a client identification number (client ID). It appears on official documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It has four numbers, a hyphen and four more numbers. (Example: 0000-0000).

They number is on all your CIC documents.

The IMM they are asking about is what CIC used to do. Upfront medicals for the family class are done through the e-medical system and no longer require that old form. Some times you need to be persistent with the physician's office that it is an UPFRONT family class medical. After the medical you will get an e-medical receipt with a bar code on it.

Ok, I see!

She said she is using that e-medical system. When I did my med exam last time in 2012 for a work permit, I think she did it manually.. She was wondering if I can get that IMM number or she will have to input my info over again. Didn't really understand what number she was talking about, and where I can get it.

Thank you.

You will need your UCI, it will be on your work permit.

She needs to know how to use the eMedical system... Unfortunately you can't help her with that.
