I am applying for CEC and planning to do the upfront medical exam for me, my wife, and one kid (7 years old). I read in the CIC website that if I sponsor my family, upfront medical exam is not accepted and I have to wait for the officer to send the request for the exam. Could anyone explain more please based on your experience? when I apply for accompanying family members, is it considered as sponsoring them?
