Updating passport after application has been sent?

HI

I have applied for residency through the family class sponsorship route from within Canada. My application was sent in Sept 2014. My passport was due to expire in June this year so I have just got it renewed. How do I inform CIC of my new passport details? I keep trying to call but "due to high volume of calls i can't speak to an agent" Very frustrating...

My next issue is.. I have a work permit (bridging visa) that was suppose to last until my residency comes through but due to the fact my passport was expiring in June they only gave me a work permit until then. Can I apply for another work permit or extension with my new passport to see me through the next however many month/years it takes for them to get round processing my residency?

Any help is very much appreciated.

1. Don't bother calling, if you have a file no from Vegreville send photocopies of the bio data pages of your passport.
2. If you are applying as an In - Canada spousal applicant how did you get a BOWP?

1. I have an application number that they emailed through when they received my application. So I should send a letter containing all my info on it and photocopies of my new passport?

2. I'm not sure what a BOWP is? I had an ICE work permit when I applied for my residency but it was expiring shortly after my application went in. At the same time as I applied for residency I applied for an open work permit and it arrived a couple of months later. It expires in June as thats when my old passport expired.
