Updating my passport whilst on a 2 year working visa

Hello,

Hoping someone can help me out with this.

I came to Canada at the beginning of 2017 on a 2 year work permit.

However, my permit could only run until May 28th 2018 which was when my passport ran out.

I have recently renewed my UK passport and am looking to get the extension on the work permit which would run until the end of December 2018 (the full 2 years) rather than May 2018

Can anybody point me in the right direction on this. Much appreciated
