Updated forms

Hi,
I've seen a few posts where people are speaking about updated forms that they've had to fill out. I'm sponsoring my common-law partner and we live in the UK. I've tried to see if I should be fillng out different forms as we started this process a while ago but all the site tells me is that they updated the forms in 2018. Am I missing something?

Some have been updated since then. Read the application and see exactly which forms you need. Sending in an old form could cause a returned application.

Thank you, when they up day the forms do they get a new IMM code? I've got the forms I need through the get application package on the Canadian Immigration website.
