Update PR after Name Change?

Hello everyone! I have a rather challenging question to ask. I recently changed the legal name of my child in Ontario, and I'm planning to apply for citizenship in September 2023. I'm wondering if I need to update my child's Permanent Resident (PR) card before applying for citizenship. Thank you!

This official link says to apply for a new p.r card to get ur name changed on ur p.r

You don't need. You can apply with old name PR. I did the same. You will lose time because of that.
