Ive posted a few times before that I am trying to bring a Zimbabwean woman to Canada through the live in caregiver program. She is currently working as a nanny in South Africa. She sent her application and LMO to the Canadian Embassy in Pretoria, and heard from them a couple weeks later, instructing her to complete her medical exam. They also requested further information from my husband and I (T4 slips, most recent tax returns, job letters, and six months worth of bank statements.) We scanned and sent everything to the young lady earlier today, and she will forward the documents to the embassy along with proof of her medical exam, as well as proof that it was forwarded to London. This process is getting closer, and Im quite excited, yet still feel like something could go wrong. Any thoughts from anyone? Anyone applied for visas within South Africa? What were your experiences?

We recently helped a Filippina national get into the LCP through the embassy in Buffalo NY, so she could be a nanny for us. All I can tell you is that they also asked me and my husband for our tax info (they asked for T4s from 2011). It was the last thing before they approved their application, so hopefully you are close now!

Hi Faithey

Hope you were able to bring your nanny over and are happy with her.

I moved recently to Canada from South Africa and exploring ways of bringing the nanny we had in South Africa here. She is a Zimbabwean with a South African Permanent Residence. However, she has only done Grade 11 from Zimbabwe. Could you please let me know if you faced any challenges with her education level?
