Update Marital Status

I submitted eAPR and am waiting for the PR decision. If i get married now, do I have to update from single to married? I am just afraid that it will reduce my point.

Yes, you do, regardless of how it affects your points or application eligibility.

Based on your advice, I should only get married after I got PR in order to avoid reducing points and rejection. Is that correct?
