Hi,

I have received EOI from Ontario and I was preparing the required documentation to submit to the province. I have over 5 years of experience in IT and I have got experience letters from the previous organizations. But none of them mentioned the CIC required information in them (eg.. number of hours worked in a week, roles and responsibilities etc) and now it is hard to get these reference letters in the required format. I have read in this forum that I can remove the experience from the EE profile and move to Personal experience if removing the experience doesn't hurt my CRS score. As I have over 5 years of exp and do not claim any points for an extra 2 yrs, I want to remove past exp from my first company. My question is, is it Okay to remove exp from EE after getting EOI from Ontario? Do they see this as misleading?

Thanks for your response. Does it show anything bad about my profile if I remove some experience after receiving EOI
I would recommend leaving them in and not changing the profile just yet. Since the period of employment resulted in you obtaining some points, and then you got the NOI based on your CRS score, I think it might end up being an issue of misrepresentation (very low chance). In your ONIP application and the EE profile, keep mentioning the work experiences and provide whatever proof you have (letter in whatever format, paystubs) and state this in a letter of explanation.
  • Best case: No misrepresentation - Officer finds enough proof. Keeps 2 years and the score. You are safe.
  • Worst case: No misrepresentation - Officer does not find enough proof. Drops 2 years and reduces the score. You are still safe.
