Update Employment History

I applied for a Canadian tourist visa 2 years back, In that application form I submitted, I made some mistakes in EMPLOYMENT section. Mainly in the time-period I worked for a company ( I put wrong year). Thats visa application got rejected.

Now I am applying for PR, and I want to correct those mistakes I made in my previous visa application.
Is it possible to do that? Or immigration dept: will cross check my previous visa information with the new application?

They still have your old application on file and may cross reference the information. I would include a letter explaining the changes.
