Hi everyone, this is my first time here. I'm preparing to submit a BC PNP application in the next few weeks. I'm also in the middle of separating from my common-law partner (lived together for 13 months). According to the CRA's definition, we are still common-law because we haven't been separated for 90 days yet. Do I declare my marital status as common-law for PR purposes? Do I declare common-law when I file my taxes next year? We didn't file as common-law this year because we'd lived together for less than a year at that time. For clarification, I do not intend to have my partner sponsor me whatsoever. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome!
