Unskilled U.S. Citizen looking for help.

Hello,

As of right now I'm 17 years old, very close to finishing up high school, and desire to work in Canada (B.C.) as soon as I can. Over the past few months I've been trying to find a way that an unskilled worker, such as myself, would get their hands on some sort of temporary working visa. I have looked into things such as IEC (which is not offered to U.S. Citizens), Go International (also not for U.S citizens), SWAP, and other programs of the sort but none are fit for my situation. I do not plan on attending College or Higher Education anytime soon.

The area in which I'd like to work does have many small farms and businesses, would it be a waste of time to ask for them work and of course an LMO? The only other idea that I have is this: My girlfriend is a citizen of Canada, and her father owns a fish processing facility. He's open to the idea of hiring me, but what steps would I have to take in order to be a legal worker? An LMO? Sponsorship?

Any advice would be helpful, since I don't know how to go about this. Thank you.

If your girlfriend's father wants to hire you, the first step is for him to obtain an approved LMO/LMIA. Note that he will have to advertise the job for a month first to prove no Canadians could be found for the job. He will also have to pay a $1K processing feel.
