Unreported Absence on Application

I looked at my application today for the first time since applying in June 2013. I noticed that I forgot to report a 3 day trip to the USA, my home country. Had I included this trip, I would have had 1094 rather than 1095 days of physical presence.

Have you any thoughts on what I should do?

Thank you

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Just wait.
There is not much you could do at this point.
Make sure you save all of your online banking for the past 4 years, rent or mortgage payment...etc....just in case you are quested for RQ.

Thanks.

I just got off the phone with the CIC Call Centre, and the agent told me that I should write a letter of explanation to the CIC Edmonton office. He said that I may receive an RQ, but that there was no reason to withdraw my application.

The agent also noted that the file is "IN TRANSIT" to the Edmonton office. I applied in June 2013.

Admit to the absence and you will have to go to the CJ.

Don't admit to the absence and get caught and you will have to go to the CJ. Given your lack of a buffer in absences, it is quite possible you will be getting an RQ, be requested to produce border records, etc. If you withdrew your application and reapplied now, would you qualify with a bit more of a buffer? Of course, withdrawing your application means you would probably be getting an RQ on the new application, but perhaps not such a big deal if you have more of a buffer.

One effect of the new citizenship law is that CIC is going to be bombarded with applications in the next several months of people that just barely met the residency requirement. It seems likely everything is going to slow down again as CIC looks closely at such applications.
