Unrecognized Vaccine for Visitor entering Canada

Good day all,

Could you please advise if someone had this experience, my wife's mother is planning to visit us in Canada, however, she is only vaccinated with Sputnik V (2 doses), unfortunately there are no other vaccines available, did someone had experience entering Canada, following all the quarantine requirements and so on recently being considered as unvaccinated ?

She also visited us in December 2021, and had identical situation, everything went well, however, I am concerned now, because I called Border Services to double check and they said she might not be allowed to enter.

They are right. She won't be able to come to Canada under the current rules since she is traveling as a visitor and is vaccinated with a vaccine that is not recognized by Canada.
