Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and some questions to ask about working in Canada (Vancouver).
Currently I am studying at a university (2nd year) in the UK and hold a UK passport. I am going to be working in Vancouver for a placement for one year July 2015- July 2016, which is part of my course (Sandwich) and returning to finish my final year in the UK.
What I am struggling with is which Work permit i will need for my year working. From my research the options are a work permit (of which there many types) but i think i would fall under the 'academic research or training' or 'Labor market impact assessment exempt'. I am think more the 2nd option as I will be doing research but for a company that isn't 'academic' (not university) but more of a company.
The other option that I found was the 'international experience Canada' but I didn't really understand what this was and I didn't know when the applications are open?
I would really appreciate some guidance as i would like to get my permit sorted ASAP so i can book flight and save some money!
Many thanks
