University Professors and Lecturers (4011) - Need Guidance

Hello,

What is the requirement for professors & lecturers exactly? I have done MBA in Marketing from Mumbai. Can I eligible for this occupation?

I have 2 (till date i m working in a College) years working experience as a lecturer in my field. Can I eligible under this?

As a teaching assistant i was giving lectures to the bachelors students! Its just my university policy i have take class for BBA students.

i guess people will be confused as to what is required n what fits 100% into this category.

Can some1 please help me with this? about my eligibility?

Or anyone pls tell me the role of this occupation list?

There is no longer an occupation list.

To qualify under NOC 4011, you must have at least one year of work experience teaching at a university.

Probably better to use NOC 4021 - it's just as eligible, similar duties, but for NOC 4011 it'll be expected that you have a Ph.D.

If you have been working as a college lecturer, you need to apply under 4021 as suggested above. Remember, you will need job letter to prove your duties.

Everything you enter on your EE application will need to be verified if/when you get ITA. For example, you said you have worked in a college, that will need to be verified. Your employer will need to give you a letter on company headed paper confirming this. If your employer cannot do it or they have closed down, you will need to provide contract letter etc to prove what you say.

Think about it, anyone can apply and say they worked but haven't.

I am no expert, I know this from reading CIC notes.
