University of Toronto employer ID, permit extension LMIA exempt

Hi,

I am going to apply for a permit extension with U of T, and am looking at the 5802 where they're asking for the employer ID. I noticed that other Canadian universities have one, but I can't seem to find anything for U of T. I know that CIC advises to leave the space blank when one does not have an ID, but I was wondering if there is anyone out there who'd know whether U of T actually has such a number? I wouldn't want to risk that I leave the space blank and then it turns out there was a number somewhere.

Um, maybe I'm misunderstanding your question:

1) call your HR rep? Or

2) Google is your friend

hahah thanks, I did try google and it did not return any results, apart from a 'Employer Identification Number (EIN)' but I don't know if that's the same thing?

The EIN # is not the same thing; employer ID # is assigned by CIC. The helpful instructions provided by UToronto (ahem, thanks Google ), specify that the information is available from HR ...
