I have also applied in uOttawa for winter 2018.Quite a coincidence but my docs were also received by 19 June and file completed on the 20th. My status also shows Under Evaluation.

I am currently employed as a Financial Management graduate from the Federal University of Technology Owerri but I want to switch careers to Software Engineering/Development.

I want to apply for another degree in Canada but I hear I may not be granted Visa since another degree does not show progression. Is this true? If I have to study in Canada, must it be a master's degree in a related field?

You need to write good study plan or you will face problem when apply the visa , visa officer might think otherwise

Thank you Eric. I do have a well thought out plan.

I while working in the Human Capital Outsourcing Department, I also work with the IT department. Where I learn and practice systems network, computer troubleshooting, Data management and HRIS software administration.

Also, I have learnt a few programming languages and have sufficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP (not so sufficient). I have built really interesting Web programs and websites that I can show the Visa officer if need be.

I believe if I can put all this in a study plan (like you advised) they should be convinced and grant me a visa.

What do you think?
