Hey peeps! please do let me know as I have 6.5 IELTS with least 5.5 in reading.
BE Electrical 3.45 CGPA
Work experience of 2 years.
Applying for M.Eng-ECE-Energy System.

Should I retake my IELTS as it meets the minimum requirement or retake IELTS. But a retake would cause me a month delay

You're at high risk of refusal because of the 5.5. Generally speaking, IRCC expect Master's applicants to score at least 6.5 in each of the four categories to demonstrate they have the language capabilities required to succeed in studying at the Master's level.

But as per their requirement, English Proficiency certificate from the undergrad university stating that English to be the official language is adequate to fulfill the language criteria. Which I do have.
In that case, IELTS is exempted.

Here I am talking about the acceptance from Alberta University however, as per my knowledge, IRCC holds the authority of Visa application. In that case, if I am granted admission I will retake my IELTS.
Prime purpose here is to not waste my time and sent in my application to have an edge over other candidates for the early bird.
Need your say on it.
