do you have any work experience?

On most of the university websites where minimum requirements are given, it is stated that special cases will be considered if the applicant has lower than first division requirement. In such cases you either need to show work experience or some research work or some strong project which shows that you are up to the mark.

No university will reject your initial application but you might not get admission in the best universities though!

Keep one thing in mind that do not go to a non-accredited university. Here is the link for the accredited programs in Canada for engineering;

http://www.engineerscanada.ca/e/pr_programs2.cfm

If you get admission in one of the universities in the given list, you are fine and good to go!

Just in case (God forbid), you don't get admission in an accredited university, work for an year in your country and then re-apply, work experience is very valuable and the university can over look your grades because of that

Hope this helps :)

Since you have only finished your education, your work exp is negligible but you can mention it if you like

Amongst the given universities UBC is one of the best in Canada amongst Mcgill, waterloo, uofT

I would say go for Windsor....

chances of admission to UBC with 56% are bleak unless u have a very high gre score & a nice work ex to cancel off the poor percentage.

u must try for the low-mid tier university bro , or else u ll be wasting ur money trust me.....!!

There is no harm in applying in UBC if you feel like.....TOEFL/IELTS doesn't affect your admission succes, you only need to have a minimum score for eligibility

Don't worry, when you come with such a big amount of money as an international student it is hard for the universities to reject you! You'll get admission in one place or the other.....try sticking to the universities that everyone has suggested you

bro i agrre that international students are a great source of money but common UBC is very selective

At masters level b4 ur application is even forwarded to the specific dept it is checked whether it meets graduade study req's...

try for the other uni mentioned

new brunswick
northern british columbia
dalhousie
